My Brother-In-Law just lost his turtle of 17 years, named Digger.
What could be the reason for so many pets being called home? It’s hard for me to really understand losing a pet, as I have never been a pet owner, except for a brief few years with my family’s dog. But she was never my dog, so I never had the kind of connection I can sense in these other people.

I was wondering the same thing myself. I’m not currently a pet owner. The whole idea of losing a pet is too frightening to me. But all those cats are so appealing.
