Sorry for all you out there that are sick of seeing these on everyone’s blogs, but I am doing SP 9 and need to answer these questions.

1. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with?

• I love Merino wool.
• And Touch Me.
• Oh, and who doesn’t like cashmere? ;/

What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?

• I don’t really like 100% cotton, because it hurts my arms to knit it. But blends are nice.

2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in?

• I have a fabric holder for my circular needles
• Another fabric case for my DPNs
• A nice glass vase for the straights.
• I also have KnitPicks Options in their case

3. How long have you been knitting & how did you learn?

• I learned at a Knit Out in Santa Monica in 2001. Some very cool local guildspeople were there teaching, and I took off from there.

Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced?

• intermediate, but willing to try anything. I consider advanced to be people that can design garments. I have done this for baby size sweaters, and have redesigned some adult sweaters from existing patterns, but I have only just started to design my own adult sized sweater from scratch.

4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?

• Yes, the link is in my sidebar.

5. What’s your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products, etc.)

• Citrus – Grapefruit especially

6. Do you have a sweet tooth?

• Not really. I’m doing Weight Watchers, so I’d rather not be tempted.

Favorite candy?

• Reeses PB Cups.

7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do?

• Soap making.
• I’m just getting into dyeing and needle felting.

Do you spin?

• No.

8. What kind of music do you like?

• Anything but Opera, Metal, and Country. I have several hundred CDs.
• On my sidebar, I have displayed the most recent things I’ve listened to on my iPod.

Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)

• Yes.

9. What’s your favorite color(s)?

• Green, Blues, Purples.

Any colors you just can’t stand?

• No

10. What is your family situation?

• Married.

Do you have any pets?

• Dear gods no.

11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos?

• Scarves.
• Don’t you read The Manolo? Ponchos are so over!

12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?

• Sweaters

13. What are you knitting right now?

• Sweaters
• Swatches, I love to try things out, experiment

14. Do you like to receive handmade gifts?

• Sure

15. Do you prefer straight or circular needles?

• No.
• I mainly use circular because I am clumsy, and it’s harder to drop a circular needle. I knit in public a lot, so a clanging needle might be rude.

Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?

• I would like to get the size 1-3 24″ or 32″ KnitPicks Classic circular needles to complete my set.
• I don’t really like bamboo or plastic, they tend to slow me down.
• I do love my Brittany Birch cable needles though.

16. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift?

• Yes and yes.

17. How old is your oldest UFO?

• 5 years

18. What is your favorite holiday?

• Independence day, if I can be in Boston.
• Otherwise, Labor Day. It breaks up the long stretch between 4 July and Thanksgiving.

19. Is there anything that you collect?

• Dust.

20. Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get your hands on?

• Books with dye recipes.

• Interweave Knits

21. Are there any new techniques you’d like to learn?

• I am just getting into dyeing wool.

• Yes.
